This device works so well it is almost unbelievable. It never slides or moves (under normal conditions), and allows for a safe, convenient way to stow when the GPS is not in use. This obviously results in greater theft protection. Obviously if you are considering this you realize it weighs 2 pounds, however that is what makes it so effective and stable. If you hate annoying suction cup mounts this is should be your only option!
