Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 6″ Display, White – 2nd Generation

I purchased the kindle for school. I wanted to be able to order and read my text books on it but none of them are available for the kindle.

The kindle is only good for reading regular literature, like novels etc. and as promised they will download in 60 seconds.

Its difficult to read on in dark or dem places. It would help a lot if there was a backlight feature.

The kindle allows users to download music files but once the files are downloaded there isnt a menu to view the songs to select reach you want to listen to at a specific time, you can only skip forward, stop or pause.

The experiental features I understand are experimental but are very limited. The read to me feature sucks. The voice is robotic and annoying. The web feature doesnt allow you to do much of anything because most sites have to be formated for the kindle and are unavailable.

The battery life for the kindle is weird. I fully charged my kindle but hadnt used it for a few days and when I went to use it the battery was completely dead.

I love the twilight books more than I thought I would… I originally bought them because the third movie looked good but I had never seen the first two parts so I decided to read about them rather than watch… the books are much better than the movies… This was a very good book. Every woman has a story like this… I’m sure most would love it!
The Sophists Rhetoric Democracy

I moved from a house of wood to a home with all cream carpeting on 3 floors. i have a toddler and a 4 yr old. I have a 10yr old vacuum cleaner that overheats, shuts down after cleaning an 8×6 area, and has to sit for at least 30mins before it can be used again. This was just not working for me!! BAsed on reviews on [...] I went to look at this vacuum and one other. i bought this. I am excited! I vacummed 2 stories of carpeted home and 14stairs in no time flat. It has excellent suction, is (relatively) quiet, light weight, seems to be self propelled and it was CHEAP! I wish the extension tube was a bit longer, but as the vacuum has a narrow enough profile to sit stably on stairs, it isn’t a really big deal. i like this vacuum cleaner a LOT! Highly recommend it at this point.
THE CHALLENGE OF DEMOCRACY

First off I’ll say that I have the 8GB version of this, so this review is entirely in regards to that fact.
The fit and function of the iPod is fantastic. It’s sleek, good looking, very easy to use and even though it weighs next to nothing it is very tough and feels like it was built like a tank.
The web browser (Safari) is very reliable and fast, and the wireless works great. The range is a bit shorter than say my laptop, but it works far enough away. The apps you can download are plentiful and very easy to manage. The only bad thing about them is I wish a lot more of them were free. Once you download a half dozen .99 cent apps or so, the charges can start to pile up a lot.
My only problems with it are as follows:

The low-end model should’ve been 10GB, rather than only 8… which in reality translates to between 6 and 7 after the iPhone OS is installed (by default, of course).

Some extra customization features would’ve been good. Such as being able to put separate passlock codes for music, pictures, videos, etc. But that’s neither here nor there – to each his own.

Lastly, the internal speaker isn’t anything to get excited about. It’s very quiet and sounds somewhat muffled. The EQ is the standard, plain-jane “Rock”, “R&B”, etc. job. There is no definitive frequency range adjustment to speak of. However, I suppose you can’t expect that sort of feature on a mp3 player. I’m an audiophile though, so I’m picky in that respect.

Other than those minor issues, I really enjoy the iPod. The performance and reliability is top-notch and there are seemingly endless options and unique “tweeks” to tinker around with on it. It’s basically a handheld computer and I’ve hardly used my home PC to browse the web at all since I got my iPod. You can even get apps to text message for free! Also, if you get the microphone for it you could use it as a phone as well. But with that said, the online features will obviously only work when you are connected to a WiFi network… unlike a mobil

We have 2 cats who occasionally toss out hairballs and food that stains carpets. We clean them up immediately, but stains stay. Borrowed a friend’s cleaner and didn’t really clean well. This Hoover works great…stains came out and carpet dries almost immediately. Amazon’s price is the best…I know I searched for weeks. If you are looking for a great carpet cleaner I would recommend this product hands down.

This vacuum is so much better than the bagless Bissell that I had. This has amazing suction power especially for the price. If you use the hose you do have to be carefull because it has so much suction that it picks up anything you get close to. Also when you use the hose the brush still runs and if left on your carpet in one place might damage your carpet. This is a great price for the power. In a local store it would have been $20 more. It arrived quickly and I am very pleased with this product. Very simple to put together.

I tried these cables just because they were so incredibly cheap I figured I could throw them away and not be bothered if they didn’t work. I use one on my computer screen (Dell ST2010) and the other for my XBOX 360 connection to Sony Bravia TV. The insulation is thin, and that can create some noise or interference for other electronics. For example, if my XBOX is on and TV is set to tuner, lines appear on the screen. However, when my XBOX is on I’ve usually got the input on XBOX, so it’s not a problem. Picture quality and clarity is no worse than my $45 Sony HDMI cable I bought for the Blu-Ray player.

After about 6 months both cables still work and I’ve had no issues. Seems totally worth the money to me. Just be aware that the insulation is thin on these cables.

The watch is pretty bulky, but that seems standard for gps watches. It only stores one user at a time, so our plan for my wife and I to switch off with it didn’t work (we usually work out at dif times of day). The box made it seem more customizable than we’ve found it to be, only allowing us to toggle between a few preset choices of what to display at a time. Accuracy is limited under trees, so don’t count on it for forest courses. I haven’t really used the computer link or heart rate monitor for it yet, but will try to update once I do.
Democracy In America Complete

This is a very intuitive equipament. No one will have probolems using it. We also can find a lot of programs to make it complete. I only had problems conecting some Internet conections that USE WAP key. I also found that many people around the world have the same problem. Nothing wrong besides that!

Freedom is good. Democracy we like. But there are times when the country can not afford to have freedom because their people are not yet ready for them.
I totally object the idea of exporting freedom. Freedom is not something you can export. It is something the people choose! Half a century ago, black people in the US can’t even vote! With the progress of economic growth and emerging of middle class, higher education, more people demand share of national power and the real democracy emerges. Before that, democracy is a lie, is a poision to keep poor guys to believe they “have” the equal power which they never really have.
Do you truly believe President Bush invades Iraq for freedom? What a hell is in Iraq now? People cant even go on street at night! You call that freedom? The only difference is that US oil company is going to get contracts from Iraq – such contract- first time ever in Middle East.
Do u see the movie “Hotel Rwanda”. If US gov is really trying to grant Freedom to the world, why would that happen?
Taiwan-China problem is more complicated than what is described in this book. The author simplifies the relationship so that he can come up more convincing evidence for his idea which is biased. The origin of Taiwan-China problem is from a Chinese Civil War in 1949 (Remember American Civil War. When southerner decleared independence, what did your Yankees do?) The original government is defeated by the communist and fled to Taiwai province. The “One China” policy refersto the original China before the Secession. Now taiwain society is much splited into two groups, one supports reunion and the other support independence. So you see, the problem is much more complicated. So if you read his text, be sure to check out other sources otherwise he is blinding you from thinking independently.
