I called the Dish Network, and told them the problem I have with the picture on my 52 inch Panasonic LCD projection TV, very poor and a strong watercolor effect. After guiding me through all kind of fixes and nothing worked, they suggested I would buy an HDMI cable. I installed the cable and did not make any difference. I still have the same poor picture, so bad that when someone is moving the head from left to right a bit faster, the nose and mouth disappears ….. and the hair is like a cloud of cotton. Just as before the HTMI cable, the text, logos and any graphic, are all very clear and crisp, except for the people, landscape, background, etc.
So, I really don’t understand what the HDMI cable is for, for me did not do anything.
This is reason I am giving it only 2 stars, this has nothing to do with the seller or the quality of the cable, unless the cable is defective and I have no way of knowing it. The price is more then excellent, you couldn’t ask for a better price, ONLY $ 2.20 INCLUDING shipping !! …. and it came in few days. My cousin paid over $ 80.00.
You would think that there MUST be a huge difference in quality, but the tech people from Dish Network and based on all the reviews I read online, says that there is not difference whatsoever, that HDMI cables ARE ALL THE SAME. Now, you be the judge. I am not a tech geek and I can only go by what they say.

How to Win Friends

Overall, it is okay. I got a new PC that came with MS Office Pro but I didn’t need all the features and it was expensive. I got this one. However, I have to uninstall the Pro before I could install this one. It is just stupid! Someone told me one can just enter the new product key and it would activate the ones that installed/came with my new laptop. I think I will download the free upgrade of MS Office 2010.

This is a great steam vac, and it was pretty straightforward to assemble though I agree that the innumerable plastic parts can be a hairbreadth away of being damaged if not handled carefully. The problem was in getting the steam vac to me in the promised two day delivery. It somehow was dropped in the patio of a person whose unit number was not mine, and was left there without further validation of the error. The deliverer apparently was puzzled by the delivery slip that was printed out in such away that it clipped the last digit of my unit number and that number did not even exist in the complex, so he decided to drop it at the nearest apartment that had one of the two digits in common. To make a long story short, the
person whose patio had the steam vac sitting there all day, said that she knew of no steam vac arriving on her patio, and ostensibly took it, we think as a freebee.
The deliverer had made numerous promises to me by phone that he would have my steam vac in the course of the day, because he went back to the wrong patio location, knocked on the resident’s door and got the same denial about the steam vac ever arriving. Meanwhile I went back and forth on the phone with the mover (NOT UPS) trying to get things straight on the whereabouts of the steam vac as I had appointments to keep, and the mover had long telephone waits, and different personnel answering who did not keep track of any of my calls made before until far too late when the supervisor got into the picture. The steam vac had to be resent, and it was definitely delayed and causing too much inconvenience. After many calls to Amazon I was given a credit on the purchase of 50% but that was following many Amazon reps haggling about a way to bring the matter to resolution. They didn’t keep track of the whole soap opera along the way. So now two people in this complex have steam vacs. I wonder if the other owner will write a review about her gift or maybe she put it up on Ebay. One lesson to be learn

If you’re looking for advice on a gaming system, I’ll tell you what a teenager told us. If you’re looking to buy for a younger child, say over 5 but younger than 14, then get the Wii. But, if you’re buying for a teenager, then they’re looking into the Xbox. So, there you have it, from the lips of a teen. So, off we went to get the Wii since we old folks could work out with it as well. It has been the best investment! We can use it with the Wii Sports, and the kids get to have a blast with it with the games. It’s so easy to use, the setup is easy (an 8-year-old did ours), and well, it’s just been a marvelous addition to the gametime in this house. A word of caution, however, be SURE you read the directions. There are warnings enclosed that state things like “Don’t play longer than 45 minutes at a time.” The Wii can cause seizures in people so be sure you pay attention to that stuff. Other than that, it’s great. Highly recommend!

I had first used Office 2007 at work when we needed to upgrade to use its Sharepoint capabilities. At first, I hated it since it was so vastly different from earlier versions of Office. Most of my frustration was with Word. You know you’re in trouble when you can’t even figure out how to open up a file! You have to click on the Windows icon at the top of the screen. What genius thought that it was intuitively obvious to look for the file open, print and save functions behind the damned Windows icon?! If you google “Office 2007 nightmare” you get thousands of hits!

However, after about a week or so of enforced practice, I got used to the “ribbon.” Once you start to figure out where everything is, it is easier to work with this version since you don’t have to click through as many layers of menus to find what you want. Other features I like are the canned formats on the ribbon in Word and the fact that you can create larger spreadsheets in Excel.

The main reasons I purchased Office Ultimate for my home were because it included Access and OneNote. I think Access might be available on Office 2007 Professional but OneNote, a new application, is not. OneNote is kind of like Evernote for Office. You can use it to create “notebooks” for different topics, and “clip”/”copy” from other Office applications, Lotus Notes and web pages to your notebooks. It also can store sound and maybe video notes as well. In Office 2010, OneNote will be part of more versions of the product.

In summary, I think you will come to really enjoy the new Office format after a while, but you shouldn’t rush out to get it if Office 2003 meets your needs.
What Are Friends For

This book became so well loved by my children that I had to buy a second copy when the first fell apart (after too much love and way too many readings). My two boys took this book with them on every car trip, every visit to grandma and at every story time this was a favorite.

The book allows children to learn where there nose, toes, fingers, ect are as they are asked to touch the animals. On more then one occation I found my son doing the actions while reading it to himself.

ITs a fun and colorful book that I eould recommend for any child under 5.
