Let me start off by saying I think this is a great tool. I did a lot of research and price comparison before purchasing the Garmin 305. I have now owned it for over a year and have found that it is a valuable tool during training and diagnosing issues.
During my research one issue that seemed to be prevalent among the lowest reviews was that of reliability. On this subject I will agree. After one year I am on my third Garmin 305. I don’t usually purchase extended warranties but because of the reviews I read, I made an exception in this case and spent a little extra and I think it was well worth it. Out of the box my first 305 worked very well, no issues. However, after just about a month, two or three lines at the top of the screen stopped working. It wasn’t enough that it interfered with the display but the unit was only a month or two old and I really hadn’t run with it all that many times. As a matter of fact I had only charged that GPS once. After returning the unit for a second one, out of the box the down menu navigation button didn’t really work and during the initial programming stopped working altogether. I now have a third one and it seems to be working just fine. No complaints and no problems to this point.
Other low marks from previous owners cited issues with the GPS not being able to stay lock on the satellites while running under vegetation or around tall building and once clear of the obstacles, the unit was unable to relocate the satellites. I have not experience this issue with any of the units I have had. During the initial power up the instruction indicate that you should not move around. The display shows a progress bar as it searches for the GPS satellites and this does take a minute or two. I usually power it up and set it on a window sill while I finish getting ready for my run. That said, my regular routine takes me under four lane highway bridges and through tree covered streets and I have never had any problems. I can

I loved the storytelling from the different perspectives in each person’s voice, consistent throughout the entire book. In her own right, each main character was heroic, which is rare, realistic and remarkable all at once. There was no simplicity or predictability, which kept me committed to this story. The vivid descriptions gave silouettes and clear, distinct voices for each character. (I think I was most fascinated with that. I actually heard their conversations and thoughts.) Aibileen, Skeeter, Minnie (my fave!)…I met and loved them all and their various relationships. Strong women come in all shades and sizes, exhibiting her strengths in her own way.
Sidebar: I noted inferences to current social hotbutton topics, but they aren’t permitted to dominate the story. I appreciate that.
This book was an absolute pleasure.

Artemis fowl was a fairly good book. there was action , adventure, and all that good stuff, but it was a little predictable. Artemis fowl wants the fairy gold, they get into a battle, and then, what’s next? The fairies get the gold back and Artemis stays alive with Butler. But the whole plot was great and I could even imagine the setting in my head. Overall, the whole story was good! Read “Artemis Fowl!!”

Artemis Fowl was the recipient of the accusation in the title of this review, but even though he is a thief, he is also much more. The twelve-year-old genius has decided to use his intelligence to pursue a life of crime, so we find an unusual situation. A story with an evil main character is not a completely new concept; Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in the outstanding “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” or Serge A. Storms in the series of books by Tim Dorsey come to mind. If we go into a different media, then Tony Soprano is one of the most famous examples in our time. What is novel though, is using this concept in a book targeted to young adults, and this is certainly a reason for controversy. I have to say though that the final product is so good, that the good aspects of this effort more than overcome this “drawback”.
Artemis Fowl descends from a prestigious family of billionaires that a few years ago suffered a reversal of fortune. His father has disappeared and is presumed dead and her mother has gone crazy with grief. Artemis is decided to return his family to where it is supposed to be and crafts a plan designed to do just this. To try to accomplish his goal, he uses the help of Butler, a mountain of a man, expert in combat, and who as his name suggests is Artemis’ butler, and Juliet, Butler’s sister. The plan involves kidnapping a fairy and then getting a ransom in gold, which is a lot harder than it sounds.
The story involves a myriad of creatures besides fairies, such as goblins, elves, dwarves, centaurs and trolls. These variety allows the author to create several characters within each one of these groups that are interesting, peculiar and endearing. But the creative process does not stop there, since the author uses some of these peculiar characteristics, as well as some acute comments to make us laugh us loud in the middle of the action. In my opinion the funniest scene in the book involved Mulch, a dwarf, and Butler, you will know what I am talking abou

I have to admit I’ve held off on reading this series for a long time. I had mixed feelings about it. I thought it wouldn’t be very good and since it was a YA (young adult) novel I thought it wouldn’t hold my interest. I finally broke down and started reading it, boy was I wrong! Stephanie Meyer is an excellent author she truly amazes me. I felt like I was right there with the characters and I could feel every emotion they had. I hated to see the book end although they are fairly long I was longing for them to be even longer than they were. I didn’t want them to end. All the books in the series are terrific! I was so unhappy when I finished the last book because I had no more to read. I really miss the characters and being so absorbed in the books. I hope she writes another one soon. I just can’t believe it took me so long to enjoy this series. I’m in my mid 30’s and I thought the books were wonderful please don’t miss out!! You can enjoy them at any age.
