This COULD be a good book. I can’t say with this AUDIO version. The narrator is the WORST ever. She reads the book like a kids book. No emotion, no character development – just READ from the pages; with an almost apathetic, condensing “sing-songy” style. Couldn’t stomach more than a chapter. UGH. Worst AUDIO book reading ever!

Now I am going to have to return it for the actual book instead. I hope it’s better when read with some EMOTIONS.

It’s a story about the person that reflects the emotions given to us by the world. Here’s a 17 year old who just got kicked out of high school straight into the streets of New York City. He doesn’t seem mad about being kicked out of school, not at all. He enjoys his time as only Holden Caulfield knows how: Calls up old friends, goes to bars, pays for a prostitute (only to not have sex with her), dances with girls in clubs where the best Jazz players play, and eventually manages to get drunk out of his mind. Inside Holden, is a person who is fed up with the world though, the way things are, the way things aren’t. Holden is no role model; he’s a sex crazed, lying, cigarette smoker, but he’s himself. He never pretends to be anything he isn’t and stays true to that ever so famous title, The Catcher In The Rye.

It’s too bad I can’t actually review the device because the Nero Software was impossible to start.

On the first installation pass I received an error message which I copied down. It advised contacting customer support. Customer support just had me restart the computer a few times trying to get the USB port to disengage. They told me it was Neros’ problem, call their support…which announces from the get-go that it’s $1.29/minute for technical support. So I’m off to the website to see what I can find, and Googling up a Forum for this issue. Discovered the recommendation was to use the Nero clean tool to uninstall all Nero software (I did have another Nero product on my machine)and then download a more recent version of the BackItUp4 software from provided link, using the serial number from the bundled software. No go. Finally Nero tells me to contact Verbatim for a re-installation disc.

I’m over it. Verbatim gets a black eye for loading software incorrectly and Nero gets one for insisting you uninstall all their products to install this one.

The install instructions could use some work, but having said that, I really like this product.

Very good looking; the USB connection worked as advertised. I used it to convert my laptop’s old hard drive (I upgraded the hard drive)to an archive drive. For $20, I’ve got a really nice backup system that I can carry around in my pocket.

I liked this book. One reason is that there is a ton of high-tech things that the fairies use. Another is that the fairies are different from the creatures you read about in fairy tales. Also it was funny at times as well. The centaur named Foaly had a pretty good sense of humor at most times. It also had a lot of action in it as well.
There were, however, also a few things I did not like. One was people’s language at times, like that one commander who said, “Blow the door off its **** hinges.” There were a few other times people swore too. That was almost about the only thing I did not like about the book though.
In this book I did not really have a favorite part. I liked just about all of them. Altogether, it was a very good book.

This book has all the ingredients for a great movie: action, romance, history, comic relief and even a little violence. The cruelty to animals was a little hard to take at times but wasn’t gratuitous. Overall an excellent story.
Classic Straight USB Cable

I purchased another bran of pedometer. It was very difficult to get it all set up, and it didn’t seem very accurate.

This Omron HJ-112 digital pedometer is EASY and accurate, once you set it to your natural walking pace (mine is 2 feet). I wear it to work or wherever I am all day. It give me a good feel for how much activity I need to do to reach 10,000 steps per day, which I haven’t done yet. So I’d better get my butt up off this couch and do more walking.
